Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation

In the spirit of our ongoing efforts to provide Wellness Opportunities to all members, MERGING VETS & PLAYERS(“MVP”) and the NFL PLAYERS’ ASSOCIATION (“NFLPA”) are proud to partner with HIDDEN PEARLS PODCAST, (“HPP”), to offer this Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation class.

WHEN/HOW: The class ran for 4 sessions, 1 time per week each Monday evening starting March 14 to April 4.


COST: The class was free to all former/current NFL players and their partners, and MVP members and their partners.

Class 1 is NOT required to join Class 2. 

WK 01

What is Mindfulness

This is class 1 of a 4 part series on Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation. Part 1 is on Mindfulness. Join us for a beautiful guided meditation and insightful discussion on the basic concepts of mindfulness. Join instructors Professor Rhonda Magee and Bruce Kittle. This is intended for members and partners of Merging Vets and Players and the NFLPA.

What is Meditation

This is class 2 of a 4 part series on Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation. Part 2 is on Meditation. Join us for another beautiful guided meditation (body scan!) and insightful discussion on the basic concepts of meditation and how it can benefit us in our lives. Join instructors Professor Rhonda Magee and Bruce Kittle. This is intended for members and partners of Merging Vets and Players and the NFLPA.

Breath Techniques

This is class 3 of a 4 part series on Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation. Part 2 is on Breath Work. Join us for another beautiful guided meditation and insightful discussion on the basic concepts of breath work and how it can benefit us in our lives. Join instructors Professor Rhonda Magee, Bruce Kittle and Emma Kittle. This is intended for members and partners of Merging Vets and Players and the NFLPA.

Creating a Daily Practice

This is class the final class of our 4 part series on Introduction to Mindfulness & Meditation. Part 4 is embodying the practices and learning how to identify our emotions and where they exist in our bodies. Join us for another beautiful guided meditation and insightful discussion on the basic concepts of merging our physical body and movements with the breath and how it can help us to move energy through our bodies. Join instructors Professor Rhonda Magee, Bruce Kittle and Emma Kittle. This is intended for members and partners of Merging Vets and Players and the NFLPA.
